Brake Controller And Adapter Recommendation For 2013 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
Hi, I am planning on adding an electric brake controller to my 2013 Pathfinder soon. If I purchase the wiring adapter for the Tekonsha do I have to run any other wiring for power ect or is it plug and play?

If you have the factory tow package and the 7-way connector at the rear of your 2013 Nissan Pathfinder then the installation can be as simple as plugging one end of the custom adapter into your vehicle, and the other end into the controller. No hardwiring is required.
I recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller, part # 90885 for your vehicle. this is a proportional controller that activates the brakes on your trailer in proportion to the brake pedal in your towing vehicle.
The custom harness available for your Pathfinder is part # 3050-P. This makes the installation very simple by using the wiring already installed in your Pathfinder.
I have attached an installation video for the Prodigy P2 on a Pathfinder.
