Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at installing the Pollak in-bed seven-pole wiring on a 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500. Now this is gonna be a really great addition if you have a fifth wheel or gooseneck. And when you plug in your trailer, instead of having to drape it over your tailgate, you'll have this wiring right in your bed, making it super easy, and it keeps all your cords inside of the bed as you're going down the road. Now this obviously you have to have a factory seven way to be able to tie into that. It's really just a jumper harness, but it makes it super convenient. It's gonna give you all the same functions as you would your normal seven poles. more

Today, we have a 2024 Chevrolet Traverse and we're gonna be taking a look at, and I'm gonna show you how to install the Tekonsha 4-pole trailer wiring harness. Adding a 4-pole harness to your Chevy Traverse is gonna allow you to transfer the lighting signals safely from your Traverse to your trailer that you're pulling. It'll come with this integrated dust cap that you can simply loop around the safety chain loop and attach it back to itself to keep it safe and out of the way. Once you throw your cover back on here, you won't have to worry about it. more

Having 7-pole wiring on your Traverse is gonna be a great option for hooking up to trailers that have a 7-way plug, and that way you can get all your lighting functions as far as your running lights, your turn signals and brake lights keeping you safe. And this is also the first step of getting a brake controller installed. You will need a 7-pole to get that brake output signal to your trailer brakes. And this one is a super easy installation. It uses a factory plug that's located just kind of behind the rear fascia and so it really is a plug and play. more

Hello neighbors, this is Brad here at etrailer, and today we're taking a look at installing the CURT seven-pole trailer wiring harness on a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse. Adding a seven-way plug to the back of your Traverse is gonna be a great option when pulling a trailer that has a seven-pole plug. It's gonna give you all your lighting functions, which include your running lights, your turn signals, and brake lights. Also, this is a great first step to getting a brake controller installed as this is gonna be required to send that brake output signal. Now as far as getting this installed, this is truly plug-and-play. The plug to tie into this harness is just located behind the fascia, and really all you have to do is run the rest of the harness to where you're gonna mount it up. more

Adding a seven-pole wiring harness to your vehicle is gonna allow you to safely pull either four-pole trailers or seven-pole trailers. You just have to get an adapter if you're wanting to pull a four-pole trailer. But having the seven-pole on here is gonna allow you to pull those trailers with brakes, auxiliary batteries, and reverse lockouts. Your four-pole plug is where you're gonna get those other four functions from, and that is your left and right turn. more

Adding a four and seven pole wiring harness to the back of your Colorado's gonna allow you to pull any type of trailer out there on the market, as long as it doesn't have a six pole on it. And if it has a six pole, you can get a seven to six pole adapter to pull those trailers too. Your four pole's gonna be here on the top. Your seven pole's gonna be on the bottom, and it's gonna be just like a factory plug as if you we're to get the hitch and wiring from the manufacturer. more

This is Tekonsha's four-pole flat trailer wiring kit that we installed on our 2023 Chevrolet Traverse. Now four-pole wiring is gonna give you the basic lighting functions that you need for either a trailer or hitch-mounted accessories that have auxiliary lighting on them, so you're gonna get your brake lights, your tail lights, your left turn signal, and your right turn signal, now if you're needing more than that, if you have a camper, say, with either electric brakes or a 12-volt auxiliary out. This is not gonna be the traditional way that you install it, but we did mount it here at the back of the vehicle. Got our little tester that we had plugged into it there. And it's mounted to brackets that do not come included with the kit, but you can purchase these brackets here at etrailer if you wanted to make it look just like ours here. This harness is actually designed to stay inside of your vehicle though here in the trunk area, so that way you just pull up your rear compartment and drape it over the back and then you just shut your trunk and that'll pinch it between the weather stripping. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022, Chevy Silverado 2500, we're gonna be showing you how to install the CURT 7-way in-bed wiring harness with the cover plate on it. But before we do that why don't we check this out and make sure it's gonna work for you. For those of you that plan on pulling around your fifth wheel trailer or your gooseneck, this is where this wiring kit's going to apply to you. And this here is whenever you do hook up your trailer you have that wiring connector and you can drop it over your tailgate, plug it into your bumper plug, which does it work Yeah. Hey everybody, how's it going Today we're going to be going over and showing you how to install the Hopkins Endurance In-bed 5th/Wheel and Gooseneck trailer wiring harness here on our 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. So an in-bed wiring harness is going to be geared towards you guys that are doing some 5th/Wheel and Gooseneck heavy duty towing. Sometimes the trailer connector for those trailers can still reach the seven-way on the bumper but that could actually run into issues if you make any tight turns and overall, it's just much better to use one mounted in the bed that we have here. It's definitely going to be a must for all you Gooseneck and 5th/Wheel guys. So this is actually a pretty unique kit, and the reason for that is this plug here is specifically designed for a factory cutout in our truck bed. Now, a lot of the other gooseneck or in-bed wiring harnesses just have that standard square connector that you drill a hole for whereas this one here, it doesn't require any drilling whatsoever because it's designed for that factory-size cut out. more

Now, when you run your trailer wiring, you're gonna wanna have that accessible to a trailer. So many times, people run those down to the area of the hitch and put 'em on a bracket or just hook it on with that dust cover boot, and that's totally fine. But for people that only occasionally tow and only need that harness every once and again, it makes it a little bit more sense at times to store it in the vehicle. more

This is what our connector is gonna look like when it's installed. It's gonna come with the plug and wiring to wire directly to the factory wiring coming from the vehicle.
