Michael: Hi there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com Today, we're going to take a quick look at the replacement entry step gear for your Kwikee Electric RV Steps. This is going to replace the gear of the motor table assembly for your Kwikee Series 24 and 25 RV Steps. This gear will help to push the steps out and pull them back in. And this is a Kwikee product, so you can trust that it is going to work with your steps. You're not going to have to worry about fit issues or anything like that.Just to give you a little extra reassurance, I can show you the dimensions here, looking just over eight inches, probably eight and a quarter of an inch in total width there.
And then as far as our height, I'm going to call it right about five and five eights of an inch.It is made here in the USA. So you can trust that it's made to the high quality standards that we've come to know and trust for products that are made here in the US and like I said, it is a Kwikee product, so will work with your Kwikee Series 24 and 25 Electric RV Steps. You're not going to have to worry about being compatible or not. It is going to work for those.It does come with the one-year warranty. The gear was the correct part and worked great, but the packaging for shipping could have been better.The threads on the gear broke through the envelope and bag that the gear was in.

Product arrived on time and was a close match to the original. Had to grind off the "stop" on one side to fit in the guides properly and match the original part. Works great, was installed and functioning in less than an hour.
Bonus points...the dealer couldn't source this part and wanted to charge $2k to replace the entire step unit...

Fit perfect. Needed to replace bolt that is used to attach stair arm to gear. Also there were nylon supports that this gear rides on you should replace while your at it. Install it was easy if you remove whole assembly. Only has four bolts hold it to stair assembly. Makes much easier to do this gear and motor.

The gear table fit my 2005 Itasca just as it came to me.I didn't have to make any changes to the product to fit my 25 series Kwikie steps.Works like a champ.

Your product is not as well machined as OEM gear. I am replacing the motor and pinion as well so the gears should wear at the same rate. Everything else went great!

The gear plate worked after I remodeled it. On one end of the plate there was a 1 in. by 1/2 in. tab that I had to cut off to work for my application.

Perfect fit. If you have to replace the motor, you should consider replacing this gear as well. If you do not, you will likely have to replace the motor again as the splines will not mesh correctly.

Very close to original part. Had to trim the tab at the extend end of rack to allow the steps to go all the way out. Not a big problem, a hack saw an two minutes, it was gone. Perfect fit during assembly and now the steps work like new.
