A Safe and Comfortable Ride
The HappiJac tie-downs distribute the weight of your camper across the truck's bed to keep the ride comfortable and the camper secure. Holding the camper taut at all four corners and from the front of the bed - as opposed to securing it on top of the bed rails, like a typical bed-mounted system - helps to reduce any front-to-back shifting of your camper during travel. It's designed to make the camper an integrated part of your truck, instead of a heavy load perched on top of it.
The included centering guide locks help you with both loading your camper and keeping it secure. When you back up to load, the locks will nudge the camper into the right spot and make sure it's centered as it slides into your bed. Then they'll essentially hug your camper on each side to hold it snug and keep it from moving. They also put a nice rubber cushion between the truck bed wall and the camper.
Don't Ruin Your Truck's Looks
When you're not using them, these tie-downs will be pretty subtle. The front anchor plates will poke out an inch or so from between the car and the bed, with the brace sitting on the inside of the bed, against the front wall. You'll be able to see it, but it won't interfere with using your bed for other things. The rear anchors install on the bumper, and when you're not using them, the couplers remove from the anchors with a quick quarter-turn. Small and chrome-plated, these anchor points blend right in.

Real straight forward installation. Attaching in plate between the beef and the cab was a bit off a challenge. Once I got one bolt started the rest was a cake walk. This thing looks very strong and well concealed. Well worth it for the cost.

Poorly packaged, heavy items loose in a bigger box is a bad idea and terrible for a shipper.(coming from a former delivery driver) Luckily all the piece arrived as far as I know. The exterior box was destroyed and the kit box was completely open and no piece still inside.

Ordering, speed of shipping and web site tracking was above and beyond. The only downfall was when there was a error by delivery company. To get part reshipped took 3 days. I was asked to send pictures, but their website didn’t deliver to person who wanted pictures. So, I had to keep calling to follow up. They did go above and beyond on when they did finally ship.

The rear tie-down then mounts to the bumper. They will not require removal of the bed and it's not too involved of an install process.
