Hey guys, just Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2023 GMC Sierra 3500, we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you what the WeatherTech front floor mats look like in it. Upgrading to a set of WeatherTech floor mats is gonna help to keep the carpet of your Sierra nice and clean. The factory floor mats don't cover very much. They don't have anything that goes up on the sides where often your feet are resting. So if you're using your truck as a work truck or even as a vacation truck, you know, we get into inclement weather where there's mud, snow, and ice, especially that salt and chemical can do terrible things to your carpet.

So keeping it clean is gonna help the truck itself, smell cleaner, because you're not gonna have all that stagnant water and dirt in there. We'll show you how we get 'em in place. You just simply slide 'em up underneath the pedals and you'll match these two buttons here up to the latching mechanism on the floor. Push down 'til you hear 'em click. (latch clicking) That's gonna help hold this floor mat in place.

And with those two attached, you almost have to pull up in order to get 'em to release. You can see those are gonna be a great fit. There's a little bit of a gap here but nothing too much to worry about. Over time, they will get a little bit tighter because they'll get warmed up in the sun. What I like most about 'em is this area right here is going to be a basin to collect all the water and all that debris.

This up here will be sloped all the way up behind the pedals. It's far enough back there where you can't see it unless you get down and look. But all the stuff coming off your feet is gonna run down, go into these channels, and then drain into this basin. That's gonna give you enough time to be able to lift up on the floor mat, get it out, dump it out, hose it off. A lot of people will use tire shine on these to really blacken 'em up again.

I do not recommend that because tire shine is slick and your foot will end up sliding on this when you're trying to push the gas or the brake and it could cause a serious accident. But yeah, these look really good on the driver's side. I like the high side walls. This here is always an area of concern because it's getting in and out, if you drag your feet, it could cause this to pull up but a lot of people we've seen will take some Velcro and put some on the bottom side here and then stick it down. And then that'll help hold that down a little bit. So if that's a problem that you have. Let's go ahead and take a look at the passenger side. So on the passenger side, it's gonna fit just like the driver. You'll have these nibs on the bottom. The kit's actually gonna come with some that you'll install on here. It'll act like Velcro and it'll stick down and then you'll stick these to it. But even without that in here, it's such a good fit that it's not gonna really move. I'm pushing on it, which is harder than you're ever gonna push with your feet. But again, it's got a lot more coverage than your factory mats will have. And I think you're gonna be really happy with the results. They're gonna have the same grooves that go into that basin and it, like I said, I think they're gonna do a great job of keeping your floors clean and free of debris.
