rv power center

This RV power control center combines an AC/DC panel with a multifunction converter charger. Creating easy access to your electrical connections, this all-in-one breaker box distributes AC and DC loads to your RV and charges your batteries while connected to shore power. It's compatible with lithium and lead acid batteries.

AC/DC Electrical Distribution

internal view

The panel supplies AC and DC distribution to your RV's electrical system. The AC section includes space for up to 6 breakers rated for 240V at 50 amps. This lets you have up to 12 branch circuits when you use tandem breakers. The DC section has 18 branch fuse holders capable of using (4) 30 amp and (14) 20 amp fuses. Also, this section has lever lock connectors to make wiring faster and more secure. Simply open the lever, insert the wire, and close. You will need to purchase AC breakers and DC fuses separately to complete the installation.

inside cover

Once all of your connections are made, the breakers and fuses are easily accessible by opening the door on the front of the box. The door also includes a blank label to list all of the connections.

Multifunctional Converter Charger

switch charging mode

The integrated converter charger changes AC shore power into DC power to charge your battery bank. It includes an output mode switch that lets you choose either lithium or lead acid batteries. No matter what type of battery is installed in your RV, you'll always have the most efficient charging profile. If your RV already has a stock converter charger, it will need to be removed to ensure this unit operates properly.

Charging Profile Designed for Lithium Batteries

In lithium mode, the unit uses a higher output voltage, which provides a fast, complete charge. It also extends battery life since it utilizes the appropriate charging profile. Additionally, this mode is compatible with your battery's internal Battery Management System (BMS), which helps manage the charge cycle by monitoring the battery state and balancing cell voltage.

Charge Wizard for Lead Acid Batteries

In lead acid mode, the Charge Wizard automatically switches voltages while your lead acid battery bank charges. This accelerates the charge but also helps extend battery life by adjusting the voltage during the different modes. This function is compatible with flooded lead acid, AGM, and gel batteries.

Charging Modes

  1. Boost: This mode charges at the full rated load for a quicker recharge time. This is where most of the charging happens. It charges the battery up to 90% of the full capacity.
  2. Normal: This mode provides controlled voltage to ensure a full charge. Once the battery begins to reach capacity, the normal state will kick in and reduce the voltage to safely complete the charge.
  3. Storage: Once the battery reaches full charge and remains unused for 30 hours, this mode maintains a lower voltage to compensate for self-discharge. This reduces battery stress and minimizes gassing and water loss.
  4. Equalization: This mode activates to prevent stratification and sulfate buildup during extended storage cycles. These two issues can damage a battery by causing the accumulation of acid at the bottom of the battery and hardened sulfate crystals on the battery plates. This mode is especially helpful when your battery is going unused during storage.

Safety Features

cooling fan

The system includes a number of safety features. It has reverse polarity protection that will protect the converter if the battery is hooked up incorrectly. Additionally, the unit includes protection for overvoltage, undervoltage, and overcurrent, which can damage your equipment, as well as the converter. The built-in cooling fan also removes excess heat from the unit. The fan speed is proportional to the internal temperature of the converter, so when the power demand is low, the fan will operate quietly.

The converter was for a trailer i was building . I have had it on shore power through many storms and it has not let me down once. I'm in Texas now with my trailer and it is still going strong . it runs 2 air conditioners around the clock. great product ,I would recommend for anybody

by:

This unit was everything I needed. It was not an exact fit but I managed the difference by making a special trim piece. It looks very good. All of the ac/dc circuits are working fine and the converter is working as it should. Very pleased with this unit and would recommend it as a fix for anyone having power distribution issues.

by:

The only reason I gave this a 4 is because of the way that it was packaged for shipment. The item itself is a clear 5 stars.

It came crammed in a box with no padding whatsoever alongside a 30lb 36' 50a cord. Luckily there was no damage to the unit itself. Also didn't come with the two extra wires that it said it did, I could have used them but worked around it.

Install was a breeze. I upgraded my travel trailer from a 30 amp with a WFCO WF-8955PEC to this unit. It took around 3-3.5 hours from start to finish.

Would highly recommend this unit to anybody looking to upgrade their 30amp service.

The only thing that would make this nut better is if they removed the slide lock Romex holes in the back and made it to where you could add you're own locks in. I had to fight it a couple times to get my wires where I wanted them.

10/10 would recommend.

@Tom We're glad your # PD4560K18LS8 replacement converter panel is working well for you!

by:

Appears to be doing a great job. RV has not been used for the past year (unfortunately) but the batteries are up and solid. Starting to take trips - will know more this year.

by:

Install instructions were easy to follow. Worked perfectly for my airstream renovation. Small size and ability to mount sideways allowed me to put under my front bench seat and not take up valuable closet space.

by:

So far it is working great! All I needed was the converter and not the entire panel box but that’s ok.

by:

Incredible customer service and fast shipping. Very pleased with my interaction and will definitely continue to do business with them.

by:

Great product. It works great for our 56 Spartan. Upgraded to a 125v/12v service and gives me tons of options.

by:

I could not be more upset with etrailer.com. I purchased a converter and the etrailer.com website indicated the item would arrive at my home on 6/11 if I paid the extra fee to expedite shipping vs "free" shipping. It was a total lie. The product never even left their warehouse until that date, so I completely wasted my money on the "expedited shipping" believing the ETA provided by trailer.com.

Two employees I emailed back and forth told me to expect a refund for the shipping fee once I received the item. However, then "Rose B" (Rachael B) emailed me: "My warehouse would not refund the shipping as it shipped on 6/11 and arrived on 6/16. The 3-5 business days for the shipping time was fulfilled.

So you can be totally deceived by this company telling you to expect a product within the week but then they drag their feet and not even ship the part out of their warehouse for nearly a week. So, what's the point then?

Their extreme delays in "warehouse processing time" for orders is unbelievably slow. I had same thing happen ordering a week. It looks over a week before they even put it in the mail to me.

I'm done with this company - horrible and misleading customer service.

Going elsewhere and urging others to do the same unless you have weeks to spare and no care in the world how long they delay the processing of your order(s).

Oh no, Im sorry for your frustrating experience with etrailer. It sounds like you caught us during our warehouse expansion. We have since doubled our warehouse space to avoid this type of situation.

by:

Easy to use and install.

by:

So far all is good, no issues. Thank you for your product.

by:

looks great, did not install it yet but it will be nice once I do.

by:

It works very well. It keeps the trailer cool in the summer and warm in the winter.

Manny

It still works great.

by:

It works great! Been using it for about a year now!

by:

Exactly what was needed . Good price, fast shipping.

by:

Working as expected. Order arrived quickly and undamaged. Manual is very simple with minimal detail about charging and fan cycling.

by:

no problems with it

by:

Super fast shipping. Quality product!

by:

Put out a great deal of light and are relatively efficient. Only knock is that the lenses are REALLY difficult to remove and because of that, I have for the time being, left them off.

by:

Product can as in great condition and worked great

by:

The part was just what I needed and it arrived in a timely manner.

by:

The only reason this doesn't get 5 stars is because the lithium setting on mine goes all the way to 14.64V instead of 14.40 which is recommended by my batteries' company.

The blown fuse LED light indicators are awesome.
The plastic is high quality.
The connectors for all the positives are strong and make a good connection.
What else to say? Oh, I emailed the customer service for PD and they got back to me with a professional email within 24 hours and then almost immediately after I answered more questions we finished up.

by:

Great replacement for original equipment. Great price and great service.

by:

Great Product and I appreciate the ease of ordering from Etrailer...!

  • Will Upgrading to a 50A Service Allow Me to Get Rid of an Electronic Climate Control Manager
I did some research on the ECC because I hadn't really heard of it before and I was able to find out that the ECC is strictly designed for use with 30A services according to the owner's manual. So, upgrading to 50A would effectively get rid of the ECC as it wouldn't be compatible. With that being said, the Progressive Dynamics 4500 Series RV Converter w/ Charge Wizard and AC/DC Distribution Panel # PD4560K18LS8 would be a nice upgrade providing a 60A converter output.
