Recommended Replacement Landing Gear For a 2020 Forest River Wolf Pack 335 5TH Wheel Toy Hauler

Question:

I have a stock setup on my 2020 forest river 44’ wolf pack 335 Recently the gears seem to slip when I’m removing from my Andersen fifth wheel hitch maybe stress or strain? I’m hoping to replace and get rid of the issue as I can hardly get it off my truck now and am nervous about using it and carrying any water because of the strain and the possibility of needing to manually get it off my truck if it chooses to fail on my next trip. I purchased the Ultra Fab replacement but am not convinced it’s going to solve the issue and additionally the setup and install looks to be a major hassle. What is the best replacement to keep it stock and rid of the “slipping” issue? If I want to upgrade to a faster motor what options do I have? Very limited space for the passenger side which may require generator removal no thanks RV shops are booked 2 months out so I have no choice but to do this myself. I’d be happy if I got another 18 months from a quick replacement at this point so I can use the rig reliably asap. And no the legs are no overextended but could’ve been in my rookie RV days.

Without being able to check the individual components and determine if the slipping is occurring in legs, gear box or motor it is hard to say what one part will fix your issue on your 2020 Forest River Wolf Pack 335 Toy Hauler.

My recommendation is to update to a better and stronger system. The Ultra-Fab Deluxe Electric Landing Gear Set # UF17-943010 gives each landing gear leg its own motor. This greatly increases lift capacity to 12,000lbs which is well above the 5,500lbs of the Replacement Motor # LG-142178. And since the 2 legs can be controlled independently they are much easier to level when on uneven ground. This will ensure that that weight is evenly distributed on both jacks.
