Recommended Replacement Trailer Hub Assembly for Custom Boat Trailer

Question:

I have a custom made boat trailer with 5 on 4-1/2 hubs, 14inch wheels, with LM67048 inners, and LM11949 outers with no brakes. At least one of them seemed to be an EZ lube hub, but Im not certain. They werent in good shape and one of the bearings burned up completely. Im looking to increase the load capacity of the hubs as the boat itself is around 2500 lbs empty. Is there an upgraded hub that will fit my existing spindles? Thanks

We currently only have one hub for your application with the bearings you mentioned. It is the Trailer Hub Assembly for 2,500-lb Axles - 5 on 4-1/2 - Cast # DX22XR. We do not have any EZ lube grease caps compatible with the covers of this hub, but these hubs will still work for you. You will lose the grease zerk function on the spindle if the grease caps won't install with them in place, but the standard grease and maintenance will work if this is the case.

The load capacity of your trailer is determined by the axle capacity, spring capacity and wheel/tire capacity as well as the hubs. You will be limited to the lowest capacity of all these components.
