Congratulations on the new ride! We have several trailer hitches for your 2019 Ram 1500 Classic. Based on a trailer weight of 5,000 pounds gross I recommend etrailer hitch # e98852. This hitch is rated for 6,000 pounds gross trailer weight (10,000 when used with weight distribution) so it has more than enough capacity for your trailer.
If your truck did not come with a factory trailer connector you can use # C59496 to add a 4-Way flat to the rear of the truck. And to add a 7-Way connector and hardwire in a brake controller you can then install # ETBC7. For a brake controller I recommend the P2 # 90885 because it is easy to set up and use and it is reliable.
If your truck did come with a factory 7-Way trailer connector you would not need # C59496 or # ETBC7. But to install the brake controller above you would need harness # 3024-P.
I also recommend an adjustable ball mount # C45900 because it will allow you to tow trailers of different heights level. And it comes with both a 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch ball. I have linked a video review of this ball mount for you.
