Specs:

  • Harness length: 10'
  • Wire gauges:
    • Purple/green/yellow/brown: 16
    • Blue/red/white: 12
  • 3-Year limited warranty

This T-connector wiring harness uses your factory tow package to add a 7-way socket in your truck bed while also retaining the use of the 7-way at your vehicle's bumper. The harness plugs into the back of your 7-way at the bumper and also into your factory wiring. And it provides 10 feet of cord to run the second 7-way connector to your truck bed. Installing a second 7-way connector in your truck bed makes it easy to connect the 7-way plug from your fifth-wheel or gooseneck trailer.

Installed on my 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 in ten minutes. Works excellent! No more draping my wiring harness over my tailgate!

by:

Works well. Defiantly better than installing a gooseneck under the bed hitch. You can swap the plate over to a fifth wheel plate with ease. 2 birds one stone. Defiantly recommend

2009 Dodge RAM 2500

Exactly what I needed. The Hopkins Endurance 5th Wheel 90-Degree Harness is truly plug 'n play. Once you decide on the truck bed location for the new 7-pole plug and drill the hole the rest is simply snap together and you're done. The new harness fit perfectly with the factory 7-pin connector and had plenty of length to allow for the new plug to be mounted conveniently in the truck bed wall. No more cable hanging out over the tailgate.

I have used the Hopkins Endurance 90-degree harness monthly over past year since installation. I have also used the factory bumper 7-pole plug as my towing needs required. Both connectors work every time indicating a solid fit and good contact between the factory 7-pin connector and the added Hopkins Endurance connector. Very pleased with both ease of installation and performance.

After using this plug adapter for a year I have been very satisfied. It was very easy to install, wiring plug was an exact fit. I use it for my fifth wheel travel trailer. I have not had any problems. Great product, thanks.

2006 Dodge Ram Pickup

Finally got the right part, my bad the first time, and the Hopkins wiring harness was in my 2006 Dodge Ram truck in less than 30 minutes. Most of your time will be spent drilling the hole in the side of the bed. I used a 2" hole saw vice the 2 & 1/8th (already had the 2" and didn't want to run out and buy another hole saw) and had no problems getting the harness through the hole. Hooked up the trailer and everything worked perfectly. There's plenty of harness, maybe too much, for any application in the truck bed. Great product!

2001 Dodge Ram Pickup

I originally had ordered a different product but it was back ordered a month which I was ok with. After I placed the order, I received an email stating they had another conector that was basically identical that was in stock and if I wanted to switch to that one, I could call in and switch. So, I called in and they changed my order to that in-stock plug and it was here within a week! Awesome and easy customer service. It was also really easy to truck.

As for installation, it went flawless and I was done in under an hour. Hooked it up to one of my trailers and everything works perfect (including trailer brakes). Very happy with the whole purchasing/installing experience!

As long as your 2011 Dodge Ram 3500 came with a factory 7-Way, you can use Draw-Tite Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness, # 20110. I have included a link to a video showing a typical installation of this wiring harness for you.

We have the Hopkins 5th Wheel 7-way kit part # HM42137 which fits your 2005 Ram 2500 and will give you a 7-way you can mount up in the truck bed. This allows you to keep the 7-way at the rear of the truck as well. It installs by plugging inline with the 7-way you have now and then would get installed where you would like in the truck bed.

  • Are Safety Chains Needed With B&W 5th Wheel Rails for 2004 Dodge Ram 2500
Fifth wheel hitch connections differ from others in that they generally don't require safety chain connections. You can verify that with your local laws, but the connection is considered secure enough that safety chains aren't needed. That doesn't mean you can't use them, of course, but you would have to fashion your own mounts as there is no specific spot to connect safety chains on trucks like your 2004 Dodge Ram when adding 5th wheelbase rails like the B&W Custom Installation Kit with...

  • 5th Wheel Towing Capacity and 5th Wheel Hitch and Rails for 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT 4WD Short Bed
The towing capacity for your 2004 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT is determined by a number of factors: axle ratio, engine, cab size, bed length, transmission, and if it is 2WD or 4WD. You gave me enough information that I could look up the capacity and determine your towing capacity is either 12,850 lbs (manual transmission) or 13,050 lbs (automatic transmission). With a short bed you'll need a sliding hitch and I recommend the Curt E16 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch with R16 Roller # 16516 for a budget-friendly...
