Came as ordered, easy tracking will use etrailer again.

The part is just what we needed. I would ask for better packing to assure parts don't get lost in shipping. I would also ask that there be a packing list included in the box for the receiving team to identify PO it belongs to.

by:

Product was received as ordered. The box with the hubs and spindles was soaking wet and product was exposed. One of the boxes with tire and rim was torn open on the back. No apparent damage to any of the product. Typical UPS delivery.

by:

great price and they are working good. the unmachined side is about .015" over size so if your going to weld this in DOM tubing you need to grind or machine a little. Works really well, nice machine work on them

by:

The products don’t have any damage at all. We need to return it because they are the wrong size. Can you please let me know what do I have to do? Thanks

by:

Excellent delivery and just what we nee ded.

by:

The spindles themself are heavy and seem like good products but they were layed loose in box nothing keeping them from getting banged around in the box

  • What Size Spindle is Needed for a M/H trailer
The axle spindle you need to order will depend on the weight capacity of your trailer and on the type of spindle (see link) already being used, if you only need to replace one spindle. To figure out which spindle is correct you can use the bearing part numbers, both inner and outer, and the shape and length of the spindle stub on your trailer. The bearing numbers will let you cross reference the correct spindle measurements for your hub. The axle stub shape and length will allow you to...

  • Replacement Spindle for 6,000 Pound Axle
The spindle where your grease seal sits should be smooth as you mentioned. It looks like a bearing probably blew on your hub to cause that type of damage on the spindle. Your only option will be to replace the spindle or the entire axle. If you have a 6,000 pound axle, the spindle we have available is the TruRyde # TRU57FR. This spindle uses the # 25580 inner bearing and # 14125A outer bearing so you will want to make sure this matches up to your current hubs. Just note that the replacement...

  • Recommendation For Spindles That Go With Dexter Trailer Idler Hub For 5,200-lb And 6,000-lb Axles
Yes, we do. For the Dexter Idler Hub Assembly, Item # 8-213-5UC1, you can use spindle, Item # TRU57FR. If you are open to shifting to an EZ-Lube option, you could get a Dexter Idler Hub Assembly, Item # 8-213-5UC1-EZ, and TruRyde EZ Lube Spindle, Item # TRU37FR. Both spindles also work with inner bearings like Item # 25580 and outer bearings like Item # LM67048. When you change your spindles, be sure to have a professional welder that knows about trailers do the work so that they...

  • Which Spindle Do I Need To Use with 8 on 6-1/2 Drum and Hub Assembly part # 8-219-4UC3
I cross referenced the bearings that Trailer Hub & Drum Assembly - 5,200, 6,000, 7,000 lbs. Axles - 8 on 6-1/2, PART # 8-219-4UC3, uses to determine which spindle you will need. The correct spindle you will need is EZ Lube Spindle, part # TRU37FR.

  • Compatibility of TRU67FR Spindle and Dexter 42655UC1 Idler Hub
We carry the # AS6000F spindle as part # TRU67FR. The spindle and the # 42655UC1 hub you mentioned aren't compatible. If you wanted to use the # TRU67FR (AS6000F) spindle, you'd need to use the compatible hub which is part # AH60880FCOMP. This is an agricultural hub which isn't meant for higher speed road use, and has an 8 on 8 bolt pattern which is pretty much relegated to farm equipment. If you need a spindle that's compatible with the # 42655UC1 hub, which has a more commonly used...

Since you want to use electric brakes you'll need a hub and drum assembly, and it will need to be a 6 on 5-1/2" bolt pattern as there aren't any with a 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern for that capacity. • How to Remove a Hub From a Trailer Spindle
To remove a hub from an axle, you will need to first remove the grease cap on the end of the hub. This will expose the end of the spindle. Once at this point, you will need to see if you have an EZ-Lube spindle, like # TRU77FR, or a standard spindle, like # TRU57FR. If you have the standard spindle, there will be a castle nut threaded onto the end of said spindle that is locking a fairly large washer in place. This will be locked in place by a cotter pin, like # 165649. These will all...

Spindle # TRU37FR is the highest capacity spindle we have at 2600 pounds. It is a 2-1/4 inch round stub. The part of the stub before the brake mounting flange is 3 inches but the length including the part on the other side of the flange before it tapers down to a smaller diameter would be 6 inches. Then you could use hub and drum assembly # 8-219-4UC3-EZ which does fit the spindle and it has an 8 on 6-1/2 bolt pattern. For electric brakes you can use # 23-105 for the left and # 23-106...

  • Replacement Hub and Spindle For Trailer Using Tapered Spindle With Timken 24780 and 10183 Bearings
I do have a recommendation for you as we do not carry a hub which will work with your current spindle. Instead you can replace your spindles with the more commonly found #42 Spindle # TRU57FR. This will allow you to easily slide on a hub for a 6 on 5-1/2" Bolt Pattern # AKIHUB-655-6-K or one with the 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern # AKIHUB-865-7-2-K. Both these hubs include pre packed bearings, races and grease seals for easy installation.

  • Capacity of Trailer Axle Spindles # TRU57FR and # TRU34FR
The only capacities we have for the two spindles you mentioned is the capacity of them if they are used as they are intended on a trailer axle. The part # TRU34FR is for a 3,000 lb axle so it has a 1,500 lb capacity and the # TRU57FR is intended for a 5,000 lb axle so it has a 2,500 lb capacity.

  • Ford F-350 Dummy Tag Axle Using Timbren Trailer Axle with #42 Spindle and 8 on 6-1/2 hub
Here is what I would recommend. While all your options would require a lot of modification, the Timbren ASR400S02 only offers 1" of deflection (suspension travel) which would more than likely be easily damaged when driven. I would say to use the Timbren # ASR1THDS01. It offers the most deflection of 3-3/8". That should limit the chance of damage when the main suspension does travel. Timbren doesn't offer any #42 spindles for for this particular item. I recommend having #42 Spindle # TRU57FR...

  • Can Hub # 42660UC1 Be Converted To Fit a Spindle # TRU57FR?
You are either going to get a different Spindle # TRU57FR or Hub # AH60880FCOMP as there is not a set of bearings and races we carry to make the Hub # 42660UC1 fit on the Spindle # TRU67FR. Since you most likely already have the 6 on 6" wheels and tires it makes the most sense to change to the Spindle # TRU57FR and keep the Hub # 42660UC1.

If you purchase the # AKHD-655-6-K hub, the 25580 and 15123 bearings, races, GS2250DL grease seal, grease cap, and lug nuts are included, so you wouldn't need to pick up the # BK3-100 bearing kit unless you wanted to have some spare parts on hand.

If you have more than a bent spindle then the other option is to replace your entire axle. If you decide on an idler hub (no brakes), I'd recommend the # 42655UC1 hub from Dexter Axle. The bearings, races, grease seal, lug bolts and grease cap are included.
