I only replaced an existing Blue Ox 6-Pole, Round Pin Wiring Socket BX 294-0902 on my Chevy Equinox that was installed by a dealer and got broken. When I took the old one off, I noticed that the contacts got all rusty, so I decided to seal the end of the boot of the new socket with silicone to prevent any moisture getting into it. Installation was very simple, the socket inexpensive and the shipping fast with nice tracking.

This item is a must have addition to the Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring Kit. It attaches nicely to the Blue Ox base plate on my vehicle and allows for an easy electrical connection between the "toad" and the motor home, using the Roadmaster 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit.
Highly recommend this necessary piece.

Im still loving it

Bought this as an exact replacement for my original that was damaged. Installation was straight forward and took just a few minutes. Blue Ox products are sturdy, well-made, and worth every penny. BTW, eTrailer.com was the ONLY place I could find this particular part (including the Blue Ox web site). From my limited purchases at eTrailer.com I can say that they have absolutely the best user interface for reviewing, comparing, and learning about any given product, and their prices generally the lowest. So far so good after a year and lots of use. This was a replacement for an identical part that had one of the mounting ears break off. Connecting to the existing harness was difficult because the existing wires were barely long enough to reach the installed position with no slack to allow convenient positioning of the socket while each wire was connected.993159

Just in the last month one of the two mounting tabs broke. This happens when we hit a particularly large rough bump or pothole. This time it was very cold - probably in the teens- which makes plastic parts even easier to break.

Received the products exactly as ordered. One to replace the original. ( which still was functional) and a backup for the tool box for personal future use or to help another person in our camping group. After 5 yrs and a lot of use.the plastic eyelets for the for the attachment bolt fractured. Appreciated e-trailer’s communication regarding the order received and shipping notice which included a postal tracking number.

Bought this to replace an existing Blue-Ox 6-pin that had water infusion and subsequent rusted wiring connections. Good price and quick ship. On this replacement I drilled a 3/16" hole on the bottom of the rubber boot to allow any water that gets inside to drain.992920

Ordered baseplate, wiring kit and connector for my new jeep wrangler sport. All the products were of excellent quality. Installation instructions were ok, but not update for my newer 2021 model. What was provided in conjunction with the etrailer [online] videos did cover it. Staff was extremely knowledgeable on the products needed and very pleasant to deal with. this item is better fitted upside down so you can see what you are doing when attaching the trailer plug. The spring loaded cover is very strong and keeps flicking closed when you are trying to position the trailer plug. Also as this is attached so low down on the vehicle front six or eight inches off the ground the view of the connection is blocked by the spring loaded flap so you have to work by "feel"1263904

The product is the right replacement for the one that corroded on my truck. However because the shipment was by USPS it took too long to get it. Had a trip coming up and need to have my lights working properly. So had to go to local Tractor Supply and get an after market connector. I will hold this for a future issue.1146636

Still works great after one year!

Fits like a glove on my roadmaster base plate on my 2020 chevy equinox. Very high quality construction. Strong spring makes a tight seal to keep water out of wiring.1027365
