Speaker 1: Today we're going to take a look at the blue ox six pole round pin trailer wiring socket for the vehicle end. This will allow you to establish a nice secure connection between your trailer and your towing vehicle with the six pole round pin wiring socket. It is a hard plastic six pole socket that will install in the rear of your two vehicle, and connects your trailer to your towing vehicle. Or, this part can also be used in the front of your vehicle that's being flat towed. Does have the concealed terminals here for durability. Pull off the rubber boot and you can see where your wire connections are.
Slide your boot over the wire, make your connections and then just slide this up to protect it. Also has a nice spring loaded lid on here, which will help keep dust and moisture out of the terminals on the front here. It is a two hole mounting style. The distance between those mounting holes center to center is two and 7/8 inches. But that should do it for the review on the blue ox six pole round pin trailer wiring socket for the vehicle end..

So far so good after a year and lots of use. This was a replacement for an identical part that had one of the mounting ears break off. Connecting to the existing harness was difficult because the existing wires were barely long enough to reach the installed position with no slack to allow convenient positioning of the socket while each wire was connected.
Paul - 03/25/2022this item is better fitted upside down so you can see what you are doing when attaching the trailer plug. The spring loaded cover is very strong and keeps flicking closed when you are trying to position the trailer plug. Also as this is attached so low down on the vehicle front six or eight inches off the ground the view of the connection is blocked by the spring loaded flap so you have to work by "feel"
The great thing about etrailer is that they have everything you need for RV'ing. I couldn't find this socket on Blue Ox website, but etrailer has it! Great job etrailer!
I only replaced an existing Blue Ox 6-Pole, Round Pin Wiring Socket BX 294-0902 on my Chevy Equinox that was installed by a dealer and got broken. When I took the old one off, I noticed that the contacts got all rusty, so I decided to seal the end of the boot of the new socket with silicone to prevent any moisture getting into it. Installation was very simple, the socket inexpensive and the shipping fast with nice tracking. Thank you very much
Ordered baseplate, wiring kit and connector for my new jeep wrangler sport. All the products were of excellent quality. Installation instructions were ok, but not update for my newer 2021 model. What was provided in conjunction with the etrailer [online] videos did cover it. Staff was extremely knowledgeable on the products needed and very pleasant to deal with. Would definitely recommend using them.
This item is a must have addition to the Blue Ox Tow Bar Wiring Kit. It attaches nicely to the Blue Ox base plate on my vehicle and allows for an easy electrical connection between the "toad" and the motor home, using the Roadmaster 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Kit. Highly recommend this necessary piece.

Andrew - 04/29/2022As usual, etrailer had the part I needed. This part is a Blue Ox OEM replacement part. This part seems to be a touch beefier than the original part.
Fits Blue Ox base plate. Tapping screws are metallic in color instead of black.
The product is the right replacement for the one that corroded on my truck. However because the shipment was by USPS it took too long to get it. Had a trip coming up and need to have my lights working properly. So had to go to local Tractor Supply and get an after market connector. I will hold this for a future issue.
This wiring socket was exactly what I needed to set up lighting for our new tow car. The 6 pole allowed me to to use pins for additional purposes like brake monitoring.
Item arrived earlier than estimated, and installation was very quick. Still need to get RV out and test.

Curtis - 01/15/2022Bought this to replace an existing Blue-Ox 6-pin that had water infusion and subsequent rusted wiring connections. Good price and quick ship. On this replacement I drilled a 3/16" hole on the bottom of the rubber boot to allow any water that gets inside to drain.
Price was right. Speedy delivery and easy install. It’s been working great. Towed our vehicle 5500 miles after installation without any problems.
