I found what I thought I needed on the website to prepare our car to be flat towed, but wanted to call to verify. After a short phone call, eTrailer saved me about $50 and got me the stuff I actually needed to get the job done! I won’t shop anywhere else!

by:

This part is an exact replacement to the part that failed. The failure was caused by a poor installation which allowed the rubber boot to chaff on the truck frame. As it was an exact replacement installation was straight forward although I modified the mounting bracket to prevent a reoccurrence of the problem.

by: 02/14/2023

Easy Installation. Seems more durable with the new back-plate included in the hardware. However the Backplate had to be shaved with a rotary burr-bit a little to fit the back of the PollaK housing

by:

Justin got me the correct parts within minutes of my call.

This was a replacement for a broken existing one so it worked out flawlessly.

by:

Good advise, Ordered...delivered on time..the best

by:

These connectors were high quality by a known manufacturer. I could have bought them locally but I wouldn't have gotten the expert advice and detailed information that I was able to get from eTrailer!. I talked to several people and each one was very knowledgeable. When the parts arrived, it surprised me because they came so quickly! I would readily order from them again if I needed more trailer parts. I used these connectors to adapt a Minn-Kota trolling motor to my fishing kayak and have attached some pictures showing it installed.

by:

just what i need for my blue ox connector to our motorhome.

by:

I found out about etrailer on an installation video on YouTube and decided to give them a try. They had all the parts I was looking for with good prices. As a plus, their shipping is fast and I got my order in no time. I will definitely use them again for my RV parts needs.

All of the parts I bought are still functioning as they should and I am still happy with my purchase.

by:

I’ve made several purchases from this retailer. The quality of their products is top notch and the price is very competitive. EXCELLENT customer service. Stacey assIsted me with my latest order and she was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. It was a joy working with her.

by:

This is EXACTLY what I was looking for, it is an exact replacement part. Etrailer was the only place I could find this part.
Thank you

by:

Great product. easy to install and adj ust

by:

Exactly what I was looking for. Well made and the best price I found for this item.

by:

What can I say? It does its job. I used a 6-pole connector so that I could wire in a battery charger for our toad. The awesome folks at etrailer.com had to send me a replacement because one of the "ears" cracked during shipping. I'm assuming that it got squashed between some heavy parts as it was only packaged in a plastic bag.

by:

great plug well made easy install
etrailer
and all the folks there are wonderful will recommend and buy from again
I have gotten several things from them already I am rigging up my new jku to be a toad behind my motor home.
everything from tow bar base plate and wiring has been just what they said it to be and very simple to save money and do it your self, I have lots of experience but seriously if you can change your own oil you can do this kind of work also.
AAAAAAA+

by:

The item is exactly as described and exactly what i needed to make the repair. I love working with these guys as they are helpful, knowledgeable, and delivery is always very fast. They are my 'go to' for RV and auto parts.

It is still working perfectly. Thanks.

by:

Easy to work with. Thanks

by:

Great place to order parts. Always have the items I need and always get them within 3 days. I am a repeat customer and the only place I will use.

by:

I searched around the web in search of a custom wiring hook up that would work with the existing wiring circuitry that was already in place on my old Dodge pickup. Just replacing the trailer socket was the answer to my problem. It was an easy process to wire in the new plug, at a very reasonable cost. It was also shipped to my home in several days.

by:

Very nice unit. Good instructions. I needed this plug to wire a brake buddy unit into a towed vehicle, and maintain the lighting. Works very well.

by:

Product arrived in a timely manner. It was as described (or even better), with apparent quality of material and construction. I would recommend this product to anyone needing to wire a 6-pin, vehicle-side connector.

looked good

  • Recommended Flat Towing Wiring Harness for 2020 Jeep Wrangler
The Roadmaster # RM-676 Nighthawk uses a 7-to 6-way umbilical, so neither the # RM-152 or # RM-154 which use a 4 pole connection would work as they come out of the box. I'd use the # RM-154 along with the # PK12720 socket and # PK11771 bracket. If you no longer have the umbilical, you can use part # RM-15267 which is the full kit, including the umbilical, the wiring, diodes connector and mounting bracket. I've linked you to an install video for the wiring.

  • 7-Way Blade to 6-Way Round Coiled Cable For Connecting a Motorhome To a Flat Towed Vehicle
The Hopkins Endurance Flex-Coil Trailer Connector Adapter # HM47053 has the 7-way blade connector on one end and 6-pin round connector on the other. This cable is 8' long and coiled to reduce the chances of it dragging on the ground between your motorhome and car being flat towed. You will not need any converters as your motorhome having a 7-way has already combined the turn signals and brake lights in the 7-way. The cord is held in place by the covers on the 7-Way # HM48470 and 6-Way...

It sounds like you need to go from the 6-Pole, Round Pin Connector # PK11604 to a 5-Pole, Round Pin Socket # PK11502. This would require making an adapter using the 6-Pole, Round Pin Socket # PK12720 and 5-Pole, Round Pin Connector # PK11501. If I have this backwards then just use the other parts listed above. It gets confusing with these connectors since you have male connectors inside a female connector so you never really know which one they are referring too. You can use some of the...

For the connection, I believe you are looking for an extension like the Hopkins Heavy-Duty, Coiled Trailer Connector Adapter - 7-Way to 6-Pole Round - Center Pin Brake # HM47085, but an 8 foot length versus 3 foot. For this, you will need to create a cable using the Hopkins 7-Way RV Style Connector with Molded Cable - Trailer End - 8' Long - RV Standard # H20046 and the 6 way # PK12720. I've attached an article to assist with the connections.

The P2, Prodigy 2, Tekonsha P2 or Prodigy 2 are all the same brake controller, # 90885. We usually just call it the P2. For your 2002 GMC Yukon Denali and the P2 brake controller you would need harness # 3025-P. It is possible that you have a 6-Way connector on your Yukon. A 6-Way will have round pins, like # PK12720. You will want to make sure that your bumper is approved for flat towing by the manufacturer. To best determine which bracket is right for your XRC bumper you will want to measure. • Can Hopkins HM56202 be Wired into 6-Way Connector on Front of Towed Vehicle
Absolutely! We actually recommend doing this exact install a lot of the time. Using a 6-way, like part # PK12720 for an example, at the vehicle's front allows you to install additional wiring for a braking system or charge line but doing it this way makes it an easier install because the Hopkins # HM56202 is the easiest to install harness for your 2004 Jeep.

To tow the vehicle further and at higher speeds you would need to use a tow dolly. Please check your owners manual and/or contact a Ford dealer for more information.
