Ball mount can be used in the rise position only.I ordered a similar drawbar with a 5" rise a few weeks ago, but found that my trailer seemed a tad too high with it. So I ordered this 4" alternative, and —as Goldilocks would say— it is "just right." I would recommend that customers who use etrailer's recommended calculations (measuring the difference between the inside top of the receiver opening to the bottom of the trailer's coupler when level) should then subtract 1" from the result. Why? Because the base of the ball raises the coupler 1" higher than the top of the drawbar. Other than that miscalculation, these drawbars are rock solid, top quality, more than adequate, reasonably priced.

It's really noisy because the fit of the drawbar is really loose inside the receiver. Don't know if the drawbar or the receiver is at fault causing the noise. Other than the noise it works well.

I procrastinated, waiting until two days before my family was to leave on vacation. I noticed that a piece was missing while installing the hitch. The customer service went out of their way to insure that I received the required piece before we left on vacation by finding the closest warehouse to me, and having the piece shipped overnight. They saved me from having to cancel the family vacation and disappointing the family. Bought two hitch mounts and a tie-down strap. Quality of all is outstanding but, even better, the service was fantastic. The three items arrived 2 days after I ordered them.
