  • Recommended Solution to Carry 4 Bikes on 2017 Mini Cooper 4 Door with Hardtop
I have a solution for you, but the Curt # C11417 is not a confirmed fit on the 2017 Mini Cooper; it is designed for older models of the Mini Cooper only. The only available hitch confirmed to fit the 2017 Mini Cooper (excluding S and John Cooper Works editions) is the EcoHitch # 306-X7290, which has a 1-1/4" receiver. With that said, this EcoHitch is a Class I hitch with a 150-lbs tongue weight capacity and you cannot carry 4 bikes on a Class I receiver. I'll also note that you would...

  • Can Two 68 Pound Kayaks be Carried on the Roof of a 2016 Ford Fusion
The strongest roof rack we carry for your 2016 Ford Fusion maxes out at 125 pounds so it will not be the best option for your 2016 Ford Fusion and two 68 pound kayaks. The components are limited by the capacity of your vehicle as the individual parts are rated higher. I do have a solution for you but none of the available roof racks for your Fusion are rated high enough. The only remaining option is to use what is called a roof rack on wheels. This is basically a trailer with a roof rack...

  • Drawbar Will Not Fit Trailer Hitch On 2004 John Deere Buck ATV
The problem you probably are facing is that you have to use a Class l ball mount in the hitch receiver on your John Deere ATV. The shank on a Class ll ball mount is inserted in the receiver more than on a 1-1/4 inch receiver and the holes will not line up. I went to the warehouse and measured the Curt Class l Drawbar, part # C45021. The distance from the end of the shank that goes in the receiver to the center of the hitch pin hole is 1-1/2 inches. This drawbar has a 4-inch rise and measures...

  • Could Curt Ball Mount # C45021 Tow Camper that Weighs 1,395 lb
The Curt ball mount part # C45021 that you mentioned would have the capacity needed for your camper that weighs 1,395 lbs as it's rated for up to 2,000 lbs but you'll want to make sure this ball mount will provide you with the correct rise/drop that your trailer needs. This ball mount provides 4 inches of rise. I attached an FAQ that details how to pick out the correct ball mount. Picking out the correct ball mount will allow your trailer to sit as level as possible. Basically you will...

  • Recommended Ball Mount with 4" Rise for 1-1/4" Hitch
It sounds like you are looking for a 1-1/4" ball mount which has a 4" rise. If that is the case then I recommend the Curt Drawbar part # C45021 which is the shortest we have available at 9" long. In order to complete this setup you'll need the Hitch Pin/Clip part # F-4 and 2" Hitch Ball part # C40018. The Draw-Tite Drawbar for 1-1/4" Hitches part # 36078 cannot be used in the rise position according to the manufacturer.

  • 1-1/4" Ball Mount Needed with a 4" Rise
Although we do not have any adapters that change a 1-1/4" ball mount to a 1" ball mount, we do have a wide selection of ball mounts that you can choose from. Among the linked selection we have the Curt Class I Drawbar # C45021 which has a 4" Rise, is 9" Long, and is rated for 200 lbs Tongue Weight (TW). This is compatible with any hitch ball that has a 3/4" shank like the 1-7/8" Hitch Ball # A-80 or the 2" Hitch Ball # A-82. I have also attached a link to our helpful article on choosing...

  • Parts Needed To Tow A 16 Foot Catamaran With A 2014 BMW 535i
There will be no issue at all towing an 800 pound trailer with the Curt # C11381 once installed on your 2014 BMW 535i. This is rated to tow up to 2,000 pounds and will handle the weight perfectly fine, but you will need a few other parts to complete the set up. First will be a ball mount and ball. The correct ones will depend on where the hitch sits and how far the coupler sits off the ground as well as the coupler size. As a few examples, the Curt Ball Mount # C45021 will have a 4 inch...

  • Class I Ball Mount to Allow for Total Hitch Ball Height of 17-Inches on 2014 BMW 428i
When we installed the Curt Class I hitch # C11367 on a 2014 BMW 4-Series coupe we found that the height of receiver opening was 11-inches above ground level. This is shown in both the linked photo and installation video. Since there are two stock tires sizes offered on the car, P225/50-17 and P255/40-18, the actual height of your vehicle could differ from the one in the video. The recommended Curt Ball Mount is part # C45521 which has 2-5/8-inches of rise and can be used with a ball like...

  • Thickness of Platform for Hitch Ball on Curt Class I Drawbar
The thickness of the platform on the Curt Class I Drawbar # C45021 where the hitch ball is installed is about 5/8". I have attached a photo to demonstrate this and you can see this referenced in the attached review video. For a 2" hitch ball you can use part # C40018 or for a 1-7/8" hitch ball you can use part # C40001. If you don't already have a pin and clip the part # F-4 is perfect for this application.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2009 Mercedes-Bens E350 4matic
The only Hitch we currently have available for your 2009 Mercedes-Benz E350 4matic is the Curt # C11701. However, this is a Class I hitch and is only rated up to 2,000 pounds towing and 200 pounds of tongue weight. You will need to double check the vehicle capacities in your owners manual, but I would not suggest loading your trailer to its maximum due to the hitches max capacity. As to the 2 inch coupler on your trailer, there are definitely options for the correct ball mount and ball,...
